Peter Mbah Foundation turns skills into opportunity for 20 entrepreneurs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poverty is not overcomed by words alone. It is defeated when people have the tools, opportunities and support they need to earn a living, provide for their families and build secure, sustainable futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the world observes the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on 17 October, the Peter Mbah Foundation (PMF) is demonstrating what meaningful poverty reduction looks like in practice. Through its Skill Support Programme, PMF has equipped 20 carefully selected skilled entrepreneurs in its Second Cohort with the resources needed to strengthen their businesses and create pathways to self-reliance.Following validation visits to their businesses, beneficiaries received equipment tailored to their needs, including computer sets, deep freezers, wig-making machines, CCTV installation equipment, plumbing tools, generators, and livestock support for poultry and piggery businesses, including animal feeds. One beneficiary was unable to attend due to illness. These interventions are more than the distribution of equipment; they are investments in human potential, economic independence and community development. By helping skilled individuals improve productivity, expand their businesses and increase their incomes, PMF is turning talent into opportunity, skills into sustainable livelihoods and ambition into measurable progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the heart of PMF\u2019s approach to poverty reduction: empowering people to become self-reliant, supporting enterprise and creating the conditions for individuals, families and communities to thrive with dignity.When people are empowered to work, earn and grow, poverty loses its grip. Families gain hope, businesses become stronger and communities move closer to a more prosperous future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
