2025 Theme: “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
The intervention by the Peter Mbah Foundation (PMF) in Enugu State communities significantly advances the rights, equality, and empowerment of women and girls. By facilitating bank account openings and National Identity registration, PMF ensures that women can access financial services, government empowerment programs, and economic opportunities, promoting financial inclusion. Providing direct financial support to widows, who are often marginalized, enhances their economic stability, allowing them to support their families and businesses.
Additionally, covering school fees for indigent girls prevents school dropouts, fostering educational equality and long-term empowerment. These efforts reduce gender disparities, promote self-sufficiency, and enable women and girls to actively participate in economic and social development, ensuring a more equitable society.
